Information reaching us confirmed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps [NSCDS] has uncovered a fake JAMB Registration center in Borno, Maiduguri.
The NSCDC Commandant Of Borno Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, confirmed that applicants were being defrauded by the centers, they were discovered on Thursday in Kawu Shopping Complex along Lagos Street of the metropolis, Maiduguri.
Abizo Precious Idowu, a 31-year-old from Imo who had collected N1,200 each to register about 180 students under the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination has been arrested.
According to the Commandant he confirmed that the Computer Based Test Centre is fake. Even the server is for Abia state.
Accomplices are on the run but the command is doing all it can to track them.
“We will make sure he refunded all the money he collected from the students while he will be made to face the law.
“We therefore warned JAMB applicants to be wary of fraudsters disguising as JAMB facilitators,” the commandant said.
