*JAMB; ABUJA -The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has said that it has created 624 examination centers for the 1.7 candidates participting at the Saturday exam nationwide.*
The registrar of JAMB, prof Is-had Oloyede disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing journalists in Abuja on the preparation of the board on the examination. About 321 blind candidates will also participate in the examination.
Prof oloyede further reiterated that efforts had been made to curtail examination fraud and malpractice as close circuit television cameras will be mounted in all the various centers and adequate security arrangements already made to ensure a hitch free exam.
Although he noted that many candidates and parents have not recovered from what he described as technophobia, as they still think that the computer based testing CBT method make things difficult or cumbersome, the board was nor relenting in the exercise and the exercise will continue despite challenges facing it.
