NYSC Orientation Camps Exercise Should Be Suspended For 2 Years

The Federal government has been advised by the Economic Sustainability Committee (ESC) to suspend the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp exercises for two years.

The committee headed by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo made the recommendation in a report presented to President Buhari last week.

The advice comes as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the country. The report suggested the use of technology either online or through broadcast for learning amongst schools, conducting  virtual convocation ceremonies or issuance of certificates and suspending NYSC orientation camp activities for 2 years and rather deploy corps members to their places of primary assignment directly.
